complete_list compositor animator photography

The following is a short list and description of my most recent/notable animation projects.
Some projects had specific compositing needs and the descriptions are on that page.
Where applicable, click on the picture to see a clip.
Project -
Spongebob’s Truth or Square
Client -
Nickelodeon
Programs Used -
SynthEyes, Maya, After Effects

What I did -
Made at Redhead, the footage was matchmoved, manually at times, and imported into Maya. Later comped with AE. The logo was comped using the plates blue channel as a depth matte.
Project -
Histoire
Client -
CA Square
Programs Used -
Maya, After Effects

What I did -
Designed and created at CA Square,
particles were generated in Maya using scripts and
expressions, and comped in AE. Of the 16 spots, 10
were completely different particle animations.
Project -
El Stupendo vs. CA Square
Client -
CA Square
Programs Used -
Maya, After Effects

What I did -
Designed and created at CA Square,
this was made for the Promax convention in Prague. I
layed out, modeled, rigged, animated and comped
this 2 min spot in a only a few weeks. An exercise in
production, this was delivered the day before the
convention.
Project -
Promax BDA
Client -
Promax BDA
Programs Used -
Maya, After Effects

What I did -
Designed and created at CA Square,
this was used for the Promax convention. Based on a
single image and a music track, I layed out, animated
and rendered the whole spot.
Project -
Pen Vs. Pencil
Client -
Personal project
Programs Used -
Maya, After Effects

What I did -
For this 60 sec animation, I designed,
modeled, animated and shaded all objects,
including all 11 characters. Every aspect of the
production except for music and score, for which I
had help, was done by me.
Project -
Animated Alias: Tribunal
Client -
ABC
Programs Used -
Animo, Maya, After Effects

What I did -
For the season 3 DVD set of "Alias", I
layed out the camera based on specific storyboard
panels. Then animated and rendered the
backgrounds in the "elevator sequence" using
previously modeled and shaded objects.
Project -
The Worm
Client -
Personal project
Programs Used -
Maya

What I did - A study in facial character animation,
specifically the eyes. The bird was animated after
observing the local NYC wildlife.

Project -
Wireman - Lift
Client -
Personal project
Programs Used -
3DS Max

What I did -
Weight study in 3ds Max.

Project -
The Herd (Geezer)
Client -
in-house project at TH Toons
Programs Used -
3DS Max, After Effects

What I did -
The heard was created using
MAXScript. While waiting for the 2D man to be
finished, I created this 3D version from the same
storyboards.
Project -
Walk
Client -
Personal project
Programs Used -
3DS Max

What I did -
Walk study made in 3ds Max. I did not
like the control of biped, so I made this to see how
I can handle simple pose to pose keys.
Project -
Lizzie McGuire (series)
Client -
Disney Channel
Programs Used -
3DS Max, Animo, After Effects

What I did -
All of the 3D elements that animated
Lizzie interacts with in this series were modeled and
created by me. Most of the comps, especially the 3D
ones, were done by me as well.
Project -
Beaker
Client -
Personal project
Programs Used -
3DS Max, After Effects

What I did -
A study in reflection, refraction and
multiple element composite. 100 percent CG, this
was created in 3DS Max 2.5 and comped in After
Effects.
Project -
Episode 2 Teaser
Client -
Personal project
Programs Used -
3DS Max, After Effects

What I did -
For the second Star Wars film, I just
wanted to see lightsaber fights. I didn't want to know
anything else. So, I created this dual in 3D and made
a teaser trailer of it knowing fully well that the real
teaser would have too much. I finished this a few
weeks before the real one was released (but after it
was announced) and fooled a lot of people. I still
think this one's better.
Project -
Climbing Man
Client -
Personal project
Programs Used -
3DS Max

What I did -
I started it at about 1 AM on a Saturday
night simply because I thought it needed to be done.
A study in weight distribution.
Project -
Goodnight Moon
Client -
HBO
Programs Used -
3DS Max, After Effects

What I did -
Initially 2D, the client almost scrapped
the project. After I redesigned this for 3D using
scans from the book, the client changed their mind.
All camera work, models and renders done by me.
In the end, the show (of which this is the title short),
won an emmy.
Project -
Howard Stern Radio Show
Client -
CBS
Programs Used -
Animo, 3DS Max, After Effects

What I did -
For the opening, I painted the BG,
modeled and animated the 3D elements, then finally
comped it all together with 2D animation. I also
worked on the comps of several other shorts made
for the show.
